Join us at our first annual Climate Community Fair! Hosted in collaboration with Hawai’i County and Honolulu City and County, the Hawai’i Climate Commission will be hosting Climate Community Fairs on Hawai’i Island at the Hilo Civic Center June 17th.
The Climate Fair will be learning-based, integrative, and collaborative spaces for community members to gain knowledge of the available resources in their community. There will be diverse organizations and programs with booths, workshops, and games to share what is being done and what we can do for a resilient and sustainable Hawai’i. Additionally, this will give the community the opportunity to talk story with the Climate Commission and share their mana’o. Admission is free, and activities will include composting demonstrations, e-bikes tutorials, climate games, Native Hawai'ian traditional practices, and more! To make it even more fun, there will be raffle prizes. The Climate Fair will include organizations from across the island to talk story and connect with the community to strengthen resilience. This is a great opportunity for the community to not only have fun, but to engage with one another and learn what we can do together for a healthy and sustainable future.
