About Mario:
Mario Siu-Li is the Chief of the Subdivision Branch in the Site Development Division of the Department of Planning and Permitting.
He has been employed as a land use planner for over 30 years with the City and County of Honolulu. Mario earned Bachelor’s Degrees in Mechanical Engineering and History, in his native country of Peru and in Hawai'i. Throughout his career with the City, he has specialized in the subdivision, land development and floodplain management fields. He also serves as the National Flood Insurance Program coordinator for Honolulu, and has been a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) for the past 20 years.
