About Tony:
Since joining the the Hawai'i State Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) in 2020, Tony inspects and permits dams on Oʻahu and the Big Island. He works with dam owners to help keep their dams safe. Before DLNR, Tony was with the Hawai'ian Electric Company, supporting areas such as the Environmental, Engineering, Generation, Enterprise Project Management, Fuels, Purchasing, and Asset Management.

Have you Ka Pa’akai’d your Project?
State agencies are now required to evaluate projects for impacts on Native Hawai'ian traditional and customary resources and practices. DLNR is one of the first agencies to put this policy into practice through the Ka Pa’akai process. DLNR Dam Safety developed a new, streamlined process for conducting an assessment, and vetting the results through the traditional Aha Moku system.
