Hawai'i CFM Matt Gosner is the new Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency’s Executive Director

Newly elected City and County of Honolulu Mayor Blangiardi recently announced key members of his core leadership, which includes Hawai'i Certified Floodplain Manager, Matthew Gonser. Matthew is appointed as the Executive Director for the Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency.

Matthew steps out of his previous role as the office’s Coastal and Water Program Manager, which he held for over 3 years, and into the office’s leadership role.

The Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency’s mission is to support the City and County of Honolulu in its vision of a more economically self-sufficient and safer Oʻahu. It has established and continues to develop initiatives, including the O‘ahu Resilience Strategy, Climate Action Plan, and the Climate Ready O‘ahu adaptation strategy launching later in the year.
