The Central Pacific Hurricane Center is hosting two free courses for students and adults. “Hurricanes at Home!” and “Talk Story with the Central Pacific Hurricane Center” Discuss hurricane season and hurricane preparedness with meteorologists from NOAA.
“Hurricanes at Home!” is targeted for students in grades 4–6 but is suitable for all ages to enjoy.
Did you know Hawai'i is no stranger to hurricanes? A panel of meteorologists from NOAA’s Central Pacific Hurricane Center will take you through the science of hurricanes, how and where they are forecast, the hazards associated with them, and how to stay prepared.
“Talk Story with the Central Pacific Hurricane Center” is open to anyone.
